Mario Girlando

Master's Degree in Spacecraft Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 2008. Mario is a member of the Italian Industrial Property Consultants Institute (patent section) since 2012 and of the Epi (Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office) since 2013 and, therefore, accredited to represent clients before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the European Patent Office (EPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). In 2023 he obtained the qualification of "European Patent Litigator", which allows him to act before the Unified Patent Court.

Mario’s activity is mainly focused on the fields of mechanics, electromechanics and mechatronics. He has gained particular experience in technical sectors such as automotive, turbomachinery, industrial machinery and fluid dynamics. He deals with the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in Italy and abroad, the preparation of opinions relating to validity and infringement and opposition and appeal proceedings at the European Patent Office. Mario acts as a technical expert in legal proceedings in Italy, and his activities also extend to design and copyright.
