Marco Prendin

Marco is a qualified Italian and European Patent Attorney, authorized to represent clients before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM), the European Patent Office (EPO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in patent and design matters. He is also qualified as a European Patent Litigator, enabling him to act before the Unified Patent Court (UPC).

Marco's expertise spans a broad range of technological and engineering fields, with a particular focus on industrial automation, electronics, mechanics, and software. He has specific experience in areas such as surgical robotics, home automation, and Computer-Implemented Inventions, including artificial intelligence-based systems.

Marco has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications at national, European, international (PCT), and non-EU levels, assisting a wide spectrum of clients—from tech start-ups and SMEs to multinational corporations. He also advises on patent prior art searches, validity and infringement opinions, freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses, as well as design, model, and copyright matters, with a particular focus on software. Marco’s practice further includes experience in IP-related technical-legal disputes.
