Filippo Pretato

Graduated in Electrical Engineering with specialization in advanced technologies in electrical engineering at the University of Padua and with an experimental thesis in thermonuclear fusion, published in the US specialized magazine "Review Of Scientific Instruments" 87, 02B318.

Filippo Pretato began his professional career in the industrial property consultancy sector in 2015 and in 2019 obtained the qualification of Italian Patent Attorney to act and represent clients before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office.

His activities and experiences range in many technological and engineering sectors, and in particular in the fields of mechanics, industrial automation, electrical engineering, motor engineering, electronics and software.

Filippo Pretato has experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Italy, Europe and internationally (according to the PCT procedure). He has experience in drafting opinions on the validity and/or infringement of patents and other industrial property titles as well as on the "freedom to operate" of a technical solution.

Pretato has also gained experience in judicial litigation, as well as in the case of counterfeiting of industrial property titles, also relating to know-how, industrial secrets and unfair competition and in strategic consultancy for the management of patent portfolios and their enhancement. It also deals with consultancy and registration of designs and models and copyright.
